I am Echoborg has proven itself highly useful as a workshop in an educational setting. In 2021 we are completing a series of 9 workshops for various Centres for Doctoral Training (CDT) at the University of Bristol. All of the participants are in the process of completing PhDs. The workshop is of value to the CDTs no matter the subject of the PhD because the workshop exposes, experientially, questions about ethics in systems design and the importance of recognising the possibility of unforseen consequences.
By participating in this show, your students have the opportunity to have an interactive conversation with an evolving, autonomous, conversational AI. Their challenge is to work with the AI on the critical question of defining our future relationship with intelligent machines. This forces them to address in the here and now a problem that is in the future. They can then reflect this back on their own research or project development goals.

In a corporate setting you may have need to bring you team together to focus on a project. This workshop is a mechanism by which teams developing tech solutions can explore ideas of unintended consequences in the way tech systems manifest in the world.

You can offer I am Echoborg to your clients. This has been done by agencies who train corporate teams and an events production company who presented the show as after dinner entertainment. We handle all the production and technical elements as usual. We agree a price with you and you selll it on to your clients.
